Audit and Accounts Senior (hybrid working available)

The opportunity

Old Mill is on a journey to break the mould when it comes to providing an outstanding Accountancy and Financial Planning Service. Now is the perfect time to join the team in an exciting opportunity as an Auditor/Accounts Senior in our Chippenham Commercial team.

It is important to say that this is not an audit role that will find you spending your life living in faceless hotels travelling from audit to audit. You will be auditing clients who are primarily in the owner managed business space visiting them at their gorgeous rural places of work. Working as part of a small and friendly audit team you will be responsible for ensuring completion of audits within agreed time allocation and drafting final documents.

This is not a 100% audit role and complex non-audit work will make up the remainder of your week making this a rounded role.

You will be welcomed into the team, contributing to delivering exceptional results. We are a friendly organisation who recognise high performance and effort- if your aspiration is to develop professionally, Old Mill is keen to support you with this.
If you are looking to utilise and build on your experiences in audit, accounts preparation and tax and have completed, or are working towards completing your ACA this could be the role for you.

Reading between the lines, it’s that shared desire to learn, grow, and collaborate that keeps us all on the same page.
Creativity, commitment, and accountability; these aren’t things to fear. With us, you’ll learn to embrace being open-minded, challenged, passionate, and helpful.

Requirements

About you
This role is best suited to an individual looking to offer the best levels of service to our valued audit clients.
You’re client-focused, and a quick thinker who takes pride in dealing with clients and assisting with any queries.
It would be advantageous if you have experience in preparation and reviewing personal and corporate tax returns, but your Audit experience is key.
If your CV includes evidence of your accounting knowledge, shows your keen eye for detail, exceptional communication skills and your ability to work under pressure, we would love to hear from you.

Benefits

Your Perks…

From flexible working to a plethora of perks, enjoy genuine work-life balance. We believe that happy employees and happy teams = productivity and success.
Old Mill employees are growing minds, not static functions, we provide funding for professional qualifications and transferable skills training is provided vivaciously.

You’ll get 26 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, and an extra day off for birthday celebrations. Need a bit extra? Just ask. Up to five extra days are purchasable.

Working with numbers…, of course, you love a bargain – so you’ll enjoy the staff discounts on savings on mobile phones, utilities, clothes and more…

Additional Information

Thanks to our commitment to flexible working, in this role you will have the opportunity to work at least partially from your home office. However, a regular presence on-site at one of our friendly South West offices would be required in order to build strong relationships with colleagues in this and other Old Mill teams.
