What to expect

Emma Cotton, Junior Adviser:

‘Old Mill are putting me through my qualifications that set me up to work for the Rural Team.  Alongside this, I speak with farmers and rural clients to field their questions and help them with day-to-day queries. Today I have reconciled the paperwork for a limited farming company with three enterprises (dairy, arable and holiday lets) and reviewed it for any errors or opportunities to feedback to the client’.

Neil Cox, Qualified Accountant and Partner:

‘With the information provided by Emma I can review the company’s financial position, advise on the mitigation of tax and work with the client to rework and achieve their future goals’.

Catherine Vickery, Associate Director:

‘Because of my rural tax specialism, I also review the client reports to highlight any further tax opportunities that may be available to the client’.

Stuart Coombe, Rural Financial Planner:

‘Once the gains have been calculated there is a matter of what to do with it, that’s where I come in to help the client decide on the best course of action for their personal and business funds’.

Andrew Vickery, Head of Rural:

‘As a team, we work together to provide a holistic and joined up advisory service to our rural clients’.

We are able to make a difference to the industry that we love. Our knowledge and specialism in unique areas contribute to our personal growth and client’s success.
