AAT Part-Qualified Accountant

Are you a part-qualified AAT accountant with some accounts preparation experience, looking for your next step in a supportive, friendly practice? Join our Yeovil Rural team and take ownership of a variety of client work while continuing to develop your skills and progress your career. This role is ideal for someone who has worked in practice, is relatively self-sufficient, and wants to be part of a team where collaboration and support come naturally.

You will play a key role in supporting Senior Accountants and Advisers, preparing accounts and tax returns for a range of clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. The work is varied, hands-on, and gives you the opportunity to grow your skills while contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment.

This role is hybrid, with an expectation of being in the Yeovil office three days a week. You will be part of a friendly, approachable team where colleagues genuinely support each other, and your contributions will be valued.

What we are looking for

  • Practice experience in preparing accounts and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Part-qualified with AAT, ideally in the latter stages of your qualification journey
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload, while collaborating effectively with colleagues
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting software
  • Excellent communication skills, both with clients and colleagues
  • Interest or experience in agriculture/rural clients is desirable, but not essential

We are looking for someone ready to take responsibility, contribute to the team, and continue developing their career in a supportive environment.
