Pensions Client Coordinator (SIPP/SSAS)

Join the Pensions team at Old Mill and help deliver high-quality administration and client support across a portfolio of pension schemes.

About us:

We're more than just an accountancy, tax, and financial planning firm. With a team of over 350 professionals and being part of a wider group with over 1,100 colleagues, we blend the close-knit culture of a local business with the capabilities of a larger organisation. Our open, collaborative environment encourages innovation and values every individual's contribution. We prioritise professional growth, wellbeing, and flexibility. Together, we create a workplace where everyone can thrive and be part of something meaningful.

Old Mill offers a hybrid working model, which usually consists of three days per week in the office, and two from home. For this particular role, you'll need to be able to spend one of your days in our Yeovil office.

The role

This role focuses on the administration of self-invested small self-administered pension schemes (SSAS), supporting clients, advisers and trustees to ensure schemes are run smoothly and in line with regulatory requirements.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll play an important role in the day-to-day running of pension schemes, ensuring records are accurate and client requests are handled efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • managing a small portfolio of clients and acting as their main point of contact
  • supporting the administration of SIPP and SSAS pension schemes
  • processing transactions such as contributions, withdrawals and transfers
  • maintaining accurate client records and scheme documentation
  • preparing correspondence and documentation for clients, advisers and trustees
  • responding to queries and providing administrative support across the pensions team
  • ensuring processes follow regulatory and compliance requirements

Who this role might suit

We’re open to candidates from a range of backgrounds, including:

  • someone with pensions administration experience
  • someone with financial services administration experience
  • a highly organised administrator looking to build a specialist career in pensions

Strong attention to detail, a methodical approach, organisation and great communication skills are more important than having deep pensions expertise from day one.
